The Pink Cabinet Initiative · The Framework

Meet the
Seven Pillars.

One connected approach built around the whole child: five core areas guiding PCI’s present framework, with digital safety and legal advocacy identified as future directions still being researched and developed.

Built around every student

Why Seven?

Because Safety Is Never
Only One Thing.

A caring school culture matters. So do clear reporting pathways, coordinated intervention, responsible recovery, community trust, digital awareness, and accountability.

PCI brings those pieces together so care does not depend on luck—and so a concern does not disappear simply because it moved from one person, department, or system to another.

The Connected Framework

Seven Parts of
One Promise.

The pillars are not seven separate programs. Each one strengthens what comes before it, what happens next, and the system surrounding every student.

Pillar I · The Foundation

Prevention

Build belonging before a concern ever appears.

School climate, mental-health literacy, and universal social-emotional learning create conditions where students are seen, connected, and more likely to speak up.

Pillar II · The First Signal

Early Identification

Notice sooner and make the next step clear.

Educator awareness, behavioral threat assessment, and structured referral pathways help concerns reach the right people before they escalate or disappear.

Pillar III · The Response

Intervention

Respond quickly, carefully, and together.

Clear protocols, threat-management pathways, and coordinated school and public-safety partnerships turn concern into responsible action.

Pillar IV · The Continuing Care

Recovery

Stay after the immediate moment has passed.

Trauma-informed reintegration, continuing support, and long-term recovery planning help students, staff, families, and communities move forward without being left behind.

Pillar V · The Village

Community Partnership

Build the village on purpose.

Families, educators, mental-health providers, faith leaders, community organizations, local agencies, and public-safety partners are not bystanders. They are active co-builders of the system surrounding each student.

Two Future Directions · Both In Development

Digital Judgment.
Rights People Can Use.

These two pillars are part of PCI's developing long-term framework. They are research and planning concepts—not active PCI programs, policies, legal services, or finalized offerings.

IN DEVELOPMENT · NOT YET AN ACTIVE PROGRAM

Pillar VI · Digital Judgment

Digital Safety & AI Literacy

PCI is researching how practical digital literacy, student-data care, trusted reporting, and human-centered AI expectations could eventually fit within the framework.

IN DEVELOPMENT · NOT A LEGAL SERVICE

Pillar VII · Understandable Rights

Legal Advocacy

PCI is researching how future educational resources might make processes easier to understand while directing legal questions to qualified professionals.

“The pillars are not a checklist. They are the structure that helps a community notice, connect, act, and stay.”

One School Can
Start the Ripple.

PCI is preparing for a focused pilot partnership grounded in its core framework and built with the school community—not around it. Pillars VI and VII remain future concepts under research and are not part of a finalized PCI service.
